Time for a quote review. Because I can't tell you anything you don't already know abour Richelle Mead, and this book is exceeeeeeeeeeeeeelleeeeent.

I certainly hadn't thought anyone could leave the Alchemists or that anyone would even want to, not with the way our purpose was drilled into us practically from birth.

With a bow that could've come straight out of a Jane Austen novel, he gestured to the bar and spoke loudly. 'Thank you for the dance. May I escort you to get a drink?'
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 58
'No,' I said. At that moment, I could have been talking to Stanton or any of the countless others who'd used me and fed me pieces of information throughout my life. 'It will be revealed now. If you've gotten me into something dangerous, then you either need to get me out of it or tell me how to.'
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 81
'The Alchemists' beliefs are my beliefs,' I said quickly.
She arched an eyebrow. 'Are they? I would hope your beliefs would be your beliefs.'
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 90
'Then your priorities are off. This is a lot more important than his band of Merry Men.'
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 121
In Alchemist eyes, using magic was bad. In my eyes, leaving innocents in danger was worse.
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 153
'Fiery and sweet, all at the same time. A flame in the dark, lighting my way.'
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 175
And when the hierophant started droning on and on about duty, obedience, and what was "natural," I really began feeling disconnected. I almost wished there was more talk of the divine, like you'd find at a normal church service. With everything going on in my life, I wouldn't have minded a connection to a higher power.

Metaphors. This was the cost of making out with an artist.
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 337
I shouldn't have done any of that [...] My life was about reason and logic, and I'd thrown all of that out the window. They were my strengths, and in casting them aside, I'd become weak. I'd been high on the freedom and risks I'd experienced last night, not to mention intoxicated by Adrian and how he'd said [...] I'd melted when he'd looked at me [...] Knowing he'd wanted me had muddled my thoughts, making me want him too...
There was no part of this that was okay.
                                                                                       The Indigo Spell pg. 343-344
'You've always controlled every detail of your life. [...] Except that we can't always have it, and sometimes that's a good thing. A great thing, even. [...] No matter how hard you try, you aren't going to be able to control your feelings for him.
