Sometimes a guy is even better than you imagined...The Russo family and Seattle, Washington, are no match for Claire Hart and her savvy knowledge of all things vampire-related. Thanks to her obsession with the Twilight series, if there is anyone who would know a vampire when she saw one, it's Claire. And she's positive totally hot Tony Russo is a vampire - she just has to prove it! In this modern retelling of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, follow Claire's hilarious journey on her first summer adventure away from home, where she learns everything isn't what is seems, and that in some instances, reality is way better than anything she'd ever find in a book.

See this book? My new guilty pleasure. Really. It’s bad.

First, thank you to the lovely folks over at the YA Sisterhood for sending me a copy of this book. You guys rock.

Now, the book. It’s a modern day retelling of Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey. But the heroine, instead of thinking that the father of the boy she likes killed his wife, thinks he’s a vampire. A sparkly vampire. Who lives in Seattle. Yeah. That’s what I thought at first too.

But really, I laughed so hard some times as Claire runs away with these wild conspiracy theories. Because, let’s fact it, anyone who picked up Twilight at some point went through a….”phase.” And Jenni James managed to blow me away in this coming-of-age novel where the lines between reality and fiction are blurred. Sometimes I get so caught up in books, that it’s hard to realize that the world around me is actually pretty awesome. Which is why I was able to get past the beginning of the book; turns out that was just the bait. And her hook was really sharp.

This book managed to wound me up so much that I bet Vincent would have sent a message to The Doctor…..look it up.

Point? If you’re a girl, get this book now! Guys, steer clear of this post. Unless you love Austen and can deal with fangirling which would be totally awesome. It's awesome if you can't, though, too. It's all just fun :)
